Biography

I’m in the first year of my PhD researching lipid metabolism in cyanobacteria, specifically Synechocystis, under the supervision of Dr. Steve Chivasa. My research focuses on increasing carbon flux into fatty acid synthesis to make cyanobacteria a viable factory for producing biofuel precursors. I completed my BSc in Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham, before studying my MSc in Plant Biotechnology and Enterprise at Durham, where, under Dr. Andreanna Welch’s supervision, I researched cocoa diversity on and between farms in Ashanti, Ghana.
