Biography
Evelyn Antony is a DDS-funded doctoral student at the School of Education, Durham University, supervised by Professor Nadin Beckmann, Professor Steve Higgins and Dr Sarah Walker.
Prior to her PhD, she completed her undergraduate degree in MA Psychology (Honours) at The University of Edinburgh and a MPhil in Education (Psychology) at the University of Cambridge.
For her PhD, Evelyn is focusing on applying a multidimensional approach to emotion dysregulation, a key psychological mechanism that explains the persistence of mental health issues (i.e., ADHD), in the context of middle childhood (ages 6-12). Her three-phased PhD addresses the conceptualisation of emotion dysregulation in middle childhood, associations of emotion dysregulation with mental-health and other social/emotional related outcomes, and the developing a novel framework based on the first two studies.
