Centre for Environment and Humanities
Welcome to the Centre for Environment and Humanities
The Centre for Environment and Humanities promotes research on the environment across the arts and humanities. We bring researchers from literary studies, history, cultural studies, philosophy, theology and religion together with the social sciences and natural sciences to explore how the methods and insights of the humanities can contribute to developing a response to the complex challenges of environmental change, biodiversity loss, and climate breakdown. In addition to hosting and coordinating a variety of events and activities for researchers at all levels, the Centre supports the interdisciplinary MA in Environmental Humanities.
