The Durham Law School Alumni Association was launched on 17 September 2024 with 40 alumni Founder Members but, since then, has grown to over 600 members from all over the world. Stay connected with the community by reading our latest newsletter.

On 10 April, 2025, Hogan Lovells International LLP very generously hosted a drinks reception in their London offices for members of the Durham Law School Alumni Association. This was the first such event held by the Association since its establishment in September 2024.

The Association was launched on 17 September 2024 with 40 alumni Founder Members but, since then, has grown to over 350 members from all over the world. In addition to a significant number of Durham alumni working in barristers' chambers, and as in-house counsel, we now have Association members from over 60 law firms from around the world.

Durham Law School is delighted to announce the launch of its first ever Alumni Association, with the signing of the Association's constitution by its first Joint Presidents, Lady Black of Derwent and Lord Hughes of Ombersley, the Vice-Chancellor and Warden of the University, Professor Karen O'Brien, and the Dean of the Law School, Professor Volker Roeben.
